My Sick Baby

This is the reason behind my lack of posts for the past two weeks.

Jared had infantum roseola, or more commonly known as tigdas hangin. We were at the hospital ER a total of 4 times, just to make sure that it was not dengue. They could not rule it out and it became a frustration for me. I don't want to take risks, or be complacent, especially when it comes to by baby's health.

It was only when we finally brought him to his pedia (who only has a clinic in Paranaque on Sundays-- the rest of the week he is at TMC) that we were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. One look at our son and he immediately said, tigdas hangin.

We would not even smile with worry those 4 days but here is Jared, still all happy, with spots on his face and all.

Mommy Moments: Precious Gift

My son is too young to give mommy tangible gifts. He does shower mommy with kisses and hugs and looks at me adoringly everyday. His every milestone, his many firsts are all gifts that make mommy's heart swell with happiness.

What I consider though as the most precious gift is when he was born.

I'm sure there will be lots more precious gifts to blog about as the days come, as he grows older, as he appreciates the things around him more. If you ever get to read this Jared, many years from now, I hope you'll see that just by being born,
you have given me and you daddy the most precious gift of all.

Check out the other entries at Mommy Moments here.

It's great to be back blogging again!

Mommy Moments: Special Trips

it's good to be able to join MM again. Still late for last Friday's topic, but it's a start. =)

These shots were all taken at Jared's first out of town trip-- and that was to Clark, Pampanga last October 2007. He was just 6 months then.

I'm raring to take him on another long drive, or a plane ride. I think he's ready for it. Too bad our Cebu trip scheduled last September did not push thru. Sayang tickets!

Praying for Brighter Days

As I sit here typing beside my sleeping son, I can cite a thousand and one reasons why we are so blessed. Like we are warm, our stomachs full, we have a roof over our heads and nine hundred ninety eight other reasons.

It didn't feel right just yet to post anything here other than the typhoon, or what it has left and how we are all coping.

So, here's to praying that the coming days will be brighter and happier for everyone.
